Roxen Gädda

Roxen is a lake of approximately 10,000 ha (95 km2) located in central Östergötland. The lake is a part of the Motala Ström on its way from lake Vättern to the baltic sea in Bråviken. Roxen is a relatively shallow lake with a maximum depth of about 7 meters.

Through purposeful work in support of rejuvenation for many years, the lake now has 24 different species of fish with rare species such as Asp ((Leuciscus aspius) together with pike, perch, pike-perch (zander), eel, etc. For the time being, work is underway to improve play areas for nors and pike along with the company Tekniska Verken as a driver power plant upstream of the lake.
